2010..
2010 is coming to an end! Thus, let me reflect upon this year! 1) It was a great experience doing contract! 2) Went Bintan with colleagues earlier in April or May... 3) Went tw for a free and easy trip in June! Uber fun and will miss it lots. 4) Slot my life away under the bond in the premier institute. There i met many intellectual friends and collegues :) 5) Ran the Standard Chartered Half Marathon with Fishy and Xl. 6) Helped out in Missnovelle, learnt alot about marketing and livejournal.com 7) Bought a Red car plate family car with my parents. It was a huge hole in the pocket, but seeing their smiles make it worth it. 8)Graduate from MFB and proceeding to a new level of class next year. 9) Went JB by foot with pink monster in Dec and used 8 packets of kleenex. 10) Stay in for this christmas to spend with my lovely friends and family. Well, i did not achieve as many stuff as i do for 2009 but it was a blissful year to spend with my family and friends. I could not recall when was the last time i spend this holiday with my family and friends. 2009- Spend the holiday season in Milan, Italy 2008- I think i went Hong Kong and Malaysia... 2007- Exchange program in melb! So i really really cherish this holiday and am not going anywhere but home. For 2011, i wish for good health (please let Allergic Rhinitis go away), more wealth (hehe), enlightenment in faith and a smooth sailing career ahead. I managed to stay thinner than pink monster this year so may next year remains the same. How was your 2010? Labels: life
Merry Christmas 2010
Dear Santa, It has been a good year Thank you for giving me such a heartwarming Christmas (minus the cold sores) with the lovely people with or without pictures. First, thank you for giving me the wonderful family whom i spend the eve with. They are uber lovely in every little way Lovely cousins have all grown up and make up! But they did a good job in hosting the gift exchange and we had tons of laughter. And one of the most important people in my life, my aunt for hosting the party. Love her tons! Second, thank you for the lovely bunch of Uni Peeps, for all the ECs/ TSs we have been through and the bond we hold still: And thank you to the lovely Beauties and the Beasts: Shucks, i got no decent pics of us all! but thank you santa for granting me the lovely animal farm! Also to SEASONS! The brunch at PS cafe was gooooddddd! photos from XL has yet to be uploaded though And last but not least, the family: An xmas dinner at Happy Relm Outrum Park :) And pink monster, And many many small moments i had with everyone. It has been a great homely Christmas and i love every moment of it!

As we approach Christmas...
Here is my shopping list: 1) A travel pouch (Muji) 2) A neck rest (Muji) 3) Body Scrub 4) 3 more presents to get for tmr lunch gathering, tmr dinner gathering and probably 26th exchange gathering. Bought S95 for my bro's 21st birthday :) and shared some monies with my parents. Oh well, my bro was going through a huge debate on which camera to get as both looks really good for that range of compact camera. 1) Canon Powershot S95 We love this camera as it is sleek, compact and produces very good images. It fits into the pocket and its really user friendly! However, the downside of it is that it is unable to capture secondary colors as well as the model below. Also, there are no additions to include a view finder (the small window that you can look through to see the image) also, the lens is F2 and the model below is F 1.8. The flash is automatic, meaning there is no manual adjustment for the flash. 2) Samsung TL 500 This is a European award winning camera and the best part of this camera is that the screen is movable! So if you are capturing your favorite idol, u can just shift the screen instead of adjusting the camera. It can capture secondary colors uber well (the closest to real colors). It is however, a little bulky, user unfriendly ( we cant find the basic on /off button) and also because of the screen, it is more delicate. My dad votes for S95, so we all settle for S95 :) Can u sense that what i said above seem to be promoting the Samung model? thats' right, i blogged what the sales girl tells us. She seem to promote Samsung more then Canon a lot that night. But i am happy with her service as she teaches us about apertures and all in layman terms. :) So if u are looking for a compact camera, hope this post helps you! Randomly, this is the season of giving and jolly! I am really glad that i am not overseas this year and can celebrate with my loved ones! But i hope the cold sores will recover in time to stop putting the twist sign on my mouth for the following gathering: 1) Dinner tonight with Q and M 2) Lunch with Jess n Xue, Dinner with Scube on 22/12 3) Xmas eve celebration with family ( booked the pizzas) and late night out with the animal farm on 24/12 4) Ban dao and exchange potluck on 26/12 On the other hand, my heart goes all the way out to Pink Monster. As i am enjoying my leave, he is spending so much time in the lab. The hours are more than his sleep time. Who ever says that success is easy? He works so hard for his lab to get the grades and results when everyone is away for holidays and gatherings. Imagine staying in the lab ALONE when everyone went off till 10ish pm on the Christmas week. I really pray that his cells will grow and everything will go on smoothly for him. Then again, i am really really proud of his dedication, discipline and independence in his work. Doing all these alone is really hard and he presses on!

tag if u still reads this space!
Hi peeps! Today marks the official starts of my e-learning week, but i so prefer to see that its the start of my long awaited leave! though there are still assignments to be handed up, i am just going to try my least and do it asap. Its really painful when you have to work during your leave. Anyway, i had an awesome weekend. It was a gathering weekend when i get to meet 3 groups of friends and a very nice end to our Sunday BXB. But, i know that i am no longer sweet 18 when i realized that i get so tired the next day when i stayed up to 4ish am in the morning. I was feeling down yesterday as i am still disturbed by comments that came from the friendship. I guess i lost the ability to seen the goodness in people from time to time as i attempt to give the benefit of doubt. That's when i decide to google and read more about how to stay optimistic before i stop socializing and close my doors. Yes, i need that too in terms of friendship and i came across this on Forbes: For an optimist, every problematic event is viewed as a transient impediment--a cost of doing business, you might say. It's not that they don't recognize or acknowledge dark days; it's that they believe that the sunshine is just a ways off. That's why an optimist's drive and spirit is never significantly depleted. While depression is enervating, optimism is energizing. The longer you remain optimistic--the longer you manage to shed feelings of self-doubt, self-recrimination and, most important, intimidation---the more strength you will have. No protein shakes needed. It is sososo true! especially that optimism is energizing! and here are 10 ways to remain optimistic 1) Avoid negative people: Misery loves company and negative people will try to make you feel miserable as they are and will constantly remind you of how bad things are. Surround yourself with positive people as they can give you advice and tips on how to stay positive and think more optimistically. When you associate with positive people this will give you a more positive attitude as well.
