CNY

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR TO ALL!

MOOOOO!

Chinese New year is one of my loved occassions as the big family gathers together!

As much as this year is just a 2 days holiday,

i m so gona make use if it to visit my relatives,

Sleep alot, watch online shows alot!

Had renuion dinner at my 3rd uncle's place yesterday

before the start of the dinner,

i began to sit beside my grandparents and join in their conversations.

And thats when i discovered alotalot of untold stories of the past,

the legacy,

and the war time harships they have.

Blamed it on my limited hokkien vocab,

its is abit hard to catch what my grandparents says sometimes,

but definately keeps both my brother and i so wided eyed with the stories

and its the 1st time i see my grandpa talk so much.

The stories told seems very dark, and scary,

It makes me felt alot for my late grandma (dad's side)

and i suddenly miss her alot.

She would always join my family and i for reniuon dinner

and she is a remarkable woman,

who took care of my sickly grandpa who suffer from stroke since 29 years old till my grandpa past away w/o any complaints.

She raise the kids(my dad and 3 uncles ) singlehanded-ly

and my dad is such a refine dad too!

It must really been hard on her

It was a moment of misses as my family talk about her.

Well, i am always very close to my family.

aside from my parents education since young,

My grandmothers are sisters. ( fahter's mum and mother's mum)

So my father and mother are actually related in one way or another,

Because its the mother side,

thats why they can get married as they are not blood related.

And there came my brother and i.

haha so basically,

my whole family is related in some way or another.

I have yet to figure out how to draw the family tree wor

haha if i do, i shall let u guys see k!

The past new year has always been about joy, food and enjoyment to me.

but this year, it holds a deeper meaning,

And to all HORSES, please takecare of your health!

Avoid the flu and cough by drinking losa water ok!

The horse in my family is down with that as mentioned by the master on TV yesterday
