    HTHT*copyright

So long since i wrote a HTHT ( Heart to Heart Talk)
about recent issues, feelings and thoughts!

    Today in school,
there was a group of kindergarden kids who came to use the school hall for rehearsal.
It was their chattering that attracted my attention.
but slowly as the song was being played and they sang,
i was touched by their angelic voice.
The innocence just sank right striaght into me.
It has been so long since i felt this way.
and it prompts me to reflect upon myself.

I have forgotten how to appreciate little things in life.
Too focus on the big things to achieve,
    big dreams to reach,
    big countries to go to
    big careers to build
    big social network to have
    big money to make
big brands to wear, hold and carry
big houses to stay/cars to have to measure success

how about the small steps to take to make it big?
    small acts of kindness
    small gestures to show appreciation
small cup of tea to bring you through a big day
small piece of biscults to curb your hunger
small things in life that makes you live it for
small family and friends who keeps you going in bad times
small faith that keeps me going
small world after all isn't it?

As we all stay in the developed city in singapore,
i realised that we forgot how small things were before they became big,
Try asking a kid where does chickens come from.
will their answer be the farm in malaysia or from the supermarket?
Try asking a kid how do rice come about.
will their answer be from the padi fields or the rice cooker?
They have been too exposed to the results,
rather than the process of how do things come about,
and thus taking things for granted.

Seeing more teenagers performing PDA in public,
and yes, i am happy that they found love.
But is love all that matters now and ever?
They have the youth, energy and time to make a small difference to someone out there.
and yet, time were spending as netizens,
playing cyber games for 20 hours a day
and spending time with your partner in movies, archades and the biggest shopping malls.
Have you ever asked yourself if your small effort could make a huge difference to someone?
while 52% of the people in Big (vast) Morocco are literate,
what can 94.4% of the singaporeans do in such a Small island?
Never too small to make a big difference.

Adults having a bigger income now tends
to engage in materialistic ( when i mean materialistic, it means to have EVERYTHING branded) needs.
    Cars, Condos and Chanel,
That is defined as indicators of success.
But are we really successful ?
how many lives have we touched?
how many broken hearts have we meant?
how many times are we there for our loved ones?
    or simply,
how much patience can you show to the ones you care?
i felt that my patience runs low and i bitch a little too much.
And i am feeling too much bitterness, selfishness and unhappiness around me.

    Questions asked, reflections in progress...
    Till then,
let me find my inner peace and regain that child-like heart
hopefully to start making a small difference that leds to big starts.

PS: Time well spent with my parents today.Small acts of theirs makes me feel  =)
